Thebarton Senior College Thursday March 27th 3.45-6.15pm Microsoft Word has many features useful for teachers that are either unknown or not well utilised. These could be thought of as the things you really need to know but don’t yet know you need to know. This workshop will look at developing your skills and understanding of a number of these functions including using the outline view, styles, tables and formatting niceties. The tips and tricks will help improve the organization and presentation of your own work, be it simple worksheets, newsletters or job applications. They are equally useful for students so you could pass these skills on. We will also briefly consider scaffolding literacy tasks, making a table of contents and sending documents to other programs including PowerPoint. Pre requisites: Some familiarity with Word, eg, able to write a letter.
