Software changes and development:

Activ Inspire

Activ Inspire is now available for download for all Promethean Planet members.  It's new, slick look and easier menu features have been a real hit.  The Inspire addition also features integration of Activ Arena tools.

 

Smart Notebook 10 can be downloaded from here.  They have also created SMART SE, an enhanced pupil version of V10 which allows students to create a digital exercise book containing their activities.

Being on the other side of the globe has its advantages at times.  I was able to attend the BETT show this year and had a great time.

I was really impressed by the new CEO of Promethean who made some important announcements about a partnership with publishing house Dorling and Kindersley.  I was very happy to hear them finally confirm a date for the multi input and was wowed by SMARTS interactive tables.  You can read more here

New training opprtunities for the new term will be available soon.  In the meantime why not develop your skills with podcasting or some other fantastic ICT activities?  There are still a few courses running this term.  Check them out on the workshops pages :)

interactive whiteboards.  If you are looking for games, lesson ideas and other creative learning activities then visit Teacher Technologies.com and take a look at the collection of  resources already bookmarked for you. 

A virtual learning and sharing environment.

Moodle

Teachertech also has a free online virtual classroom where training and support is available.
This online community is made up of teachers from all over the world sharing classroom strategies
and IWB methodology.   Experts and beginners supporting each other and helping everyone to develop
their skills.  Weekly challenges are laid down for you to practice your skills. The Moodle covers Promethean, Smart and Easi-teach boards and has an extensive video help library which demonstrates both basics and more advanced methodology. Log in and share the learning experience. There are already over 60 people from Adelaide who have signed up and are joining in.   Run by Selena, this online environment is designed to supportyou, to keep you up to date with updates, new initiatives and  freedownloads.
