Images: attach them to the page first (no bigger than 100k) and then in Edit, place them on the page using the Insert/edit image button.
Page stretches way off the screen: generally caused by a link that is very long. Select some text to be the link, then paste the link into the link tool.
Line Spacing: Shift/Return produces a half line space, Return produces a full line space.
Too many colours and font styles are used. So use variations with caution. It also looks lousy.
Space is up to a total of 500Mb which is adequate so long as people don't upload 15Mb movies, so only add necessary attachments, and keep them small. Images should not exceed 100k Video should be embedded if possible, and attached should be up to about 2Mb. If a page is open to edit, have warnings about attachment size.
Embedding video: Host the video on YouTube or similar. In Edit, go to html and past in the embed text in the appropriate place.

Design Standards ... a work in progress...

The site can have a range of 'skins' that control colour and layout within limited paramaters. Since there will be many page managers of the site, it will be important to have some consistency in layout style in order to make the use-experience a comfortable one, so emulate the style used on main pages. The style will evolve as managers and users voice their opinions.

Font: keep the default: Verada 2 (10pt). Font size 1 (8pt) may be used for dense sections of text.

Images should be used where possible. Use Left or Right image alignment to have text wrap around the image.

Headings: use the built-in heading styles under Paragraph menu

Links: internal links should open in the same window. External links should open in a new window.

Text and Tables Text should be placed in a table to keep the page width under control. Tables should be set to 700 pixels. If you add columns, go to table edit and set a cell in each column to be 50% or whatever you desire for width.

Menus on a page
If a page has child (subsidiary) pages, create a menu across the top. Include a link to the parent page for the subset, then this menu can be copied and pasted to the child pages.
