ACCE Submission on 'Digital Ed. Revolution'
The
Australian Council for Computers in Education (ACCE), of which CEGSA is
a member, is preparing a submission to the Prime Minister-elect's
office on the recently announced ICT in schools initiatives.
At this stage the submission (which is in draft form) expresses general
support for the initiatives and endorses the inclusion in the policy of
a requirement to improve the capacity of teachers by ensuring that they
receive training to upgrade or develop competence in the use of ICT. It
also outlines ACCE's affliliations and track record, past involvement
in ICT policy and research, coverage of membership and extends an offer
of willingness to be involved in advising on issues arising in the
implementation.
If you have any additional issues that they wish to be included in this
initial correspondence, or to be considered in the subsequent
discussions between
ACCE and the incoming federal government.
Any such issues can be included in ACCE's discussions. Feel free to
email these to cegsa-members or to any of the CEGSA executive
individually.
