Thursday 11.30am, ASMS LC 6 1st Floor

I've been teaching at Scotch for 10+ years and recently took over as ICT Curriculum Manager, a great job that involves supporting all teachers in the integration of ICT's in to their classes.

Abstract:

The Federal Govt is now providing some serious ICT funding, particularly for students in Yrs 9-12. Is it possible to provide every student with a laptop? Many more schools are now investigating this option. Scotch College has successfully developed such an environment for more than a decade. This presentation will endeavor to share the exciting opportunities that exist when every student has technology at their fingertips, but it will also expand on the critical infrastructure, staff training and management strategies that are needed to support the maintenance and development of such an environment. Bring your experience, school situation and questions to this presentation so you can seriously consider this option for your school or institution.
