Inquiry Learning, Science , IWB and Blogs in the Primary Classroom...
Thursday, 10:45am, Room 9 Level 1
I am teaching Year 2/3's at a Catholic Primary School in Adelaide. My students are very Scientifically oreintated so I have designed a lot of Science units with an inquiry approach and have created a class blog so that we can share our work. Below is an image that was taken with a Digital Blue microscope and enhanced with the software. It is an empty cocoon that Frederick the butterfly emerged from. You can see the story of how Frederick emerged from his cocoon in my blog. It is a protected blog so it needs a password. If you came to my presentation then you would have seen it-otherwise I will have to chat to the school Administration in order to find out if we can make this blog public...or share some of the pages in the protected blog. We'll see how that goes.

The PD tab on my blog will be updated tonight is is thankfully not protected so we can share reflections on the CEGSA conference this year and you can add a comment on my blog.

The Scottish blog URL's that I referred to in my presentation are on the front page of my blog so you can access them there!
Attached below is the song that I tried to play but did not work...It is about the story of the butterfly. Written and performed by a year 2 and 3 student in my class.
