I have 24 years teaching experience and a specific interest in how technology can be used effectively in the classroom. I teach at Port Lincoln Primary School, a 3-7 public school of 580 students in country South Australia.
For the past 9 years I have held the position of learning technology coordinator assisting staff with ICT integration. I have worked as a Learning and Teaching with the Internet Coach to provide support for educators in the use and integration of the Internet in curriculum programs. I have also been involved in numerous successful online collaborative projects. I am currently a district e-Teacher which involves promoting e-learning by running online events within the district each term. Events are offered via Centra an internet-based video conferencing live online learning environment which has the ability for interaction amongst all participants and presenters. My recent interests include the use of IWB and the encouragement and mentoring of staff to use them effectively in their classrooms.
