Anne Ballard

 Anne Ballard worked in ICT in Education for over 20 years till her retirement in early 2006.  She was the first Computing Advisory Teacher appointed to a Regional Education Office by the (then) SA Education Department.  She was the IT coordinator at Annesley College and taught IT subjects from years 7-12.  In 1998 she was appointed Curriculum and Assessment Officer for Technology at SSABSA.  She was a member of the group that founded CEGSA in 1986.  She has served on the committee for many years since then and was President from 1992-6.  Since her retirement she has remained on the CEGSA Committee and most recently has been manager of the SiMERR Senior Secondary Project.

Sonia Magon

Learning Technologies Coordinator, McDonald Park Schools

Sonia has a strong focus on e-collaboration using the internet in early childhood settings. She uses web 2.0 tools to create online learning environments that are designed to meet the needs of young children  - that are inclusive of younger learners needs - that are safe and that give all children the opportunity to communicate their ideas in a meaningful way using up to date technology.

Sonia has been a member of the Early Childhood Organization committee, and was invited to present at their Science and Technology conference. She will be presenting at the 'Get Connected' ICT conference in Mount Gambier later this year.

Kristine Peters

Kristine Peters is director of KPPM Organisational Strategists, a consulting firm that focuses on social and market research, strategic planning and business development. Her previous employment includes teaching at all ages, from junior primary to tertiary and she has DipT and MBA.

Kristine's particular interest is the ‘fine-grained' transfer of knowledge - she has undertaken a number of research projects into e-learning and m-learning and is currently doing a PhD investigating the influence of social learning on environmental practices in small business. Her academic interest in learning is strongly influenced by the need to provide practical approaches with immediate application to the classroom.

Graham Taylor

CEGSA SA Computer Educator of the Year 2007

 

Graham Taylor is Coordinator of ICT Across the Curriculum at Thebarton Senior College. He is also an ICT Coach in the DECS Learning Technologies program and has contributed to the development of several Learning and Teaching with the Internet (LTI) courses and coached numerous teachers from Coober Pedy to Mt Gambier.  Previous positions include working at the Technology School of the Future and as project manager for Unley High School's Discovery School program. He has won two DECS Learning Technologies Research Grants, a DECS Scholarship to study on-line learning and an Australian Flexible Learning Framework Learnscope Project grant last year. This year he is also the Team Leader of a $100,000 Frameworks E-learning Innovations project to develop an on-line presence for the Southwest Trade Schools. Graham has a very varied background including Outdoor Education, ESL and Literacy as well as in ICT and has taught in Japan and Germany. His passions include Web 2.0, Digital Photography, blended learning, Teacher Professional Learning, wine and travel.

John Travers

John is a former school principal and exponent of the use of ICT in learning. He was manager of the Technology School of the Future from 1999-2003 and since then has been an educational consultant, lecturer at Flinders University in Adelaide and in Beijing, and now works part time for education.au.

His recent work has involved supporting the development of me.edu.au, a professional networking service and on proof of concept work for edna.tv, a video sharing service for education.
