SurprisedLimitations to Flickr

Flickr is limited on its academic content and its tags and photos are subject to the mistakes of the users who enter them. Some content and comments are not permissible to young students.

Flickr within a digital world.

Flickr provides an easy and comfortable platform for students to engage with the content or the community in the process of collective knowledge creation. After all students who are engaged with content demonstrate better learning outcomes. Flickr through digital storytelling has a place in our educational circles.

This page would benefit from some examples about how educators have used Flickr to senhance learning and teaching. Please add to this page if you have used Flickr with your class or know of a good example of its use. Flickr is blocked in most schools due to child safety issues. Flickr RSS feeds can be embedded in blogs and wiki pages. Notes can also be added to images.
