This page is designed for teachers to show how and why Scratch should be used in the classroom and provide teachers with useful resources and links. What Is Scratch? Uses in the Classroom Why Scratch? Teaching Resources
As an educational tool I rate it 5/5 stars because it is simple to use and teaches students so many different skills across different curriculum areas. Download Scratch Here

Comments:From tsweeney - 11/10/09 5:23 PM Thank you Scott for updating this part of the CEGSA website. Your page is well set out and easy to navigate. I like the examples that you have included that help people to see how you can use the tool to modify existing resources created by others as well as create your own. The podcast with Bill Kerr about using Scratch in the classroom, created by Belinda and Philip last year, should be linked to your page. You need to edit the Back link on Belinda's page so that it returns readers to this page and not the original.
From mccu0079 - 11/9/09 8:09 PM thanks snow ill put the link on the main page after it is marked, dont want to change it before. Scott From snow0011 - 11/9/09 10:06 AM You have created a very informative site. It is very easy to navigate and the inclusion of multimedia makes it really easy to understand what scratch is and how it can be used. I also really like the amount of links to relevant resources you have included. The links made with Gardner's Multiple Intelligences also makes it very easy to see how this tool can be used to enhance learning in a number of ways. The only improvement I would suggest would be a link to the Scratch site on the homepage because I wanted to have a look at it myself and I did not find a link until reading through the why use Scratch page. Good Job - Thank you for the information, this looks like an amazing tool! Last Modified 11/12/09 7:34 PM | Hide Tools |
