What is a Ed.VoiceThread?

Ed.VoiceThread is a web based tool where users are easily able to publish and share media online. This web tool works by way of students or educators uploading images, documents and/or videos and adding commentary. It is then published allowing other registered users to comment or make suggestions about the presented media via text messages or audio. Users can easily control who can view, edit and comment on their content. Ed.VoiceThread enables K – 12 students and their educators to create and collaborate digital stories and documentaries, practice and document language skills, and explore geography and culture to name just a few ideas.  Teachers and students can utilise this web tool to view and share information internally and globally! Ed.VoiceThread is an EASY program to use, that encourages collaborative work and inquiry based learning, encouraging students to be actively engaged with their learning through participation and sharing of ideas.
