Creating an RSS Feed

Show Menu

The easiest way to create an RSS feed is to set up a blog at any one of a number of sites.

e.g. http://www.blogger.com

RSS feed link is not always obvious but it has the format of http://blogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss

I was a bit reluctant to do the "how to" thing Velma, simply because depending on the site you decide to use, the method may vary. My experience with Blogger was that the step by step process was well laid out. The hardest thing was deciding which template I wanted to use, and then the colour scheme.

Since Blogger merged with Google, it seems that it requires a gmail email address, but in fact it doesn't. You can set up an account with an existing email address. You use the email address and password to log in. I would recommend that people don't use their school-provided email address but a personal one is fine.

Could some instructions be added here about setting up a blog? It seems to indicate presumed knowledge that the novice may not have.
