MATHCASTS

An application of the web tool Jing

Mathcasts are a fantastic way to engage students in the learning of Mathematics. A mathcast is simply a screencasts (screen movies of writing with voice) that has a focus on mathematics.

A mathcast is really a neat a tidy way of recording students doing a problem. They are primarily used by students to demonstrate how to do a problem. These can then be saved as part of a students blog or could also be a part of their concluding performance in an e-portfolio.

The following sites contain examples of how Jing and similar applications can be used to produce deep learning
