Our 10 tips for educational surveys

 

1) The purpose of the survey needs to be clearly outlined and defined.
 
2) Make sure the survey is short and concise.
 
3) Questions should be simple.
 
4) Where possible, use closed ended questions.
 
5) Rating scale questions should be kept consistent throughout the survey.
 
6) Order your survey logically.
 
7) Test your survey before sending it.
 
8) It is best to send invitations to conduct surveys Monday through to Thursday.
 
9) It may be necessary to send several reminders to participants.
 
10) Make use of the templates available on the online survey tools.
